There are three vests, the Great Bulletproof Vest, the Good Bulletproof Vest, and the Poor Bulletproof Vest.
The Poor Vest can take a single gunshot before being defeated, and will slightly reduce melee damage. The Good Vest will take two before being defeated, and will reduce melee damage slightly more. The Great Vest will take three and reduce melee damage significantly.
The Poor Vest takes 8 Nylon and 10 Leather. The Good Vest takes 5 added Rubber. The Great Vest takes 2 additional Metal.
